The way to tell the quality cashmere
The
way to tell the quality cashmere
If I
buy a pure cashmere sweater on www.ewsca-cashmere.com, how can I tell if this
is high-quality?
Is it fuzzy?
Look closely at the clothes. There should be only a very small, sparse layer of
fuzz on the top of quality cashmere products. If the piece is too
fuzzy, this implies the piece is poorly manufactured or made with fibers too
short to hold shape and because of this, are already starting to unravel. These
items, although sometimes very soft, are sure to stretch out of shape and pill
quickly.
Is it softly?
Cashmere is supposed to be soft, and quality cashmere will
always have a lovely hand. However, just because an item is softer than
another doesn't imply better quality, and sometimes actually means
the opposite.
For instance, a shirt made of single ply cashmere yarn will be
softer than a shirt with double ply yarn, but will pill, and lose it's
shape much faster. A properly spun yarn with a tighter twist will
also tend to not be as soft as a poorly spun yarn, but again, the durability
and quality will be higher.
Does it hold its shape?
Stretch it! Be a little rough with it! Quality pieces will return to their
original shape and not become baggy after being worn.
